APPLICATION OF BEIDOU SATELLITE TECHNOLOGY IN GEOLOGICAL SURVEY IN SOUTH-CENTRAL CHINA

Abstract

Abstract

This paper mainly introduces the application of field geological survey based on the Beidou satellite's field geological survey system in South-central China area with dense forest cover, including field work management, the personnel security and remote sensing anomaly verification, etc. The test results show that the system can generally realize the field geological investigation for personnel's real-time geographic position indication, historical track playback, situation analysis and route planning, etc. The Beidou system can communicate effectively in test area, and can realize the two-way short message communication between Beidou terminal and terminal, terminal and Beidou command machine. What's more, using of Beidou system positioning function can record real time abnormal verification point information, adjust and modify the indoor interpretation of remote sensing results. Thus we can improve the work efficiency of field geological survey.
