EXTRACTION OF LOW FREQUENCY DATA ATTRIBUTES AND APPLICATION TO RESERVOIR PREDICATION

  • When seismic attributes are used in reservoir prediction, due to the effect of fractures and fissures, the amplitude of the high frequency components usually suffers serious loss, that makes the results of reservoir prediction inconsistent with the real development status. For the purpose to solve the problem, we presented in this paper a method to extract attributes from the low frequency part of the seismic data for reservoir prediction and good results have been achieved both in theoretical calculation and practical application. The application of this method has been proved effective and useful to ensure a smooth seismic interpretation.
