In order to promote data utilization and visualization in the exploration and development of natural gas hydrate, the concept of functional module combination is proposed in this paper. The functional unit is combined together with the GIS and full-text search technology to form an integrated framework of the service component system for gas hydrate strategic mapping. Based on the data type and layer combination, we proposed a development mode based on C/S architecture and components, and used GIS technology, skyline software and massive graphic display technology to design the system. Case study suggests that the service component system is successful and effective for gas hydrate strategic mapping.
