MINERALIZATION AGE OF THE SIGNIFICANT LEAD-ZINC POLYMETAL AND MOLYBDENUM DEPOSITS IN SOUTHEASTERN XIAOXINGANLING METALLOGENIC BELT

Abstract
The southeast of Xiaoxinganling metallogenic belt is one of the significant concentration areas for Pb-Zn polymetal and Mo metallogenesis in Northeast China. The mineralization is closely related to the intrusion of granitic magma. The Pb-Zn deposits genetically belong to skarn polymetal ore type; while the Mo deposits, porphyry type. The zircon U-Pb dating for typical deposits shows that the Pb-Zn mineralization ages range between 175.8 and 209 Ma; while the Mo mineralization, 176±4 Ma. It is thus suggested that the Pb-Zn mineralization age is Late Indosinian-Early Yanshanian, and Mo mineralization is Early Yanshanian.
