Abstract

Abstract

Remote office users require secure transmission of data, which can be ensured on public network by virtual private network (VPN) technology. The categories, pivotal security technologies and products of VPN are discussed. A remote access VPN project is implemented by analyzing the network topology of a geological institution. The VPN server applying Windows Server 2003 in the project is configured in detail.
