Abstract
Seven certified reference materials of barite ores for chemical component analysis have been developed. GSO1 is ironbarite, GSO2 and GSO3 are fluorite barite, GSO4 and GSO5 are quartz barite, GSO6 is sulfidebarite and GSO7 is claybarite. Processed by ceramiclined ball mill, the sample size is -0.074 mm. The homogeneity test was performed by XRF analysis of Ba, Cu, Pb, Zn, Zr, Al, Si, Fe and Ca. The vibration test was also performed. 8 laboratories participated in the data certification and provided 7 standard values for BaSO4, BaO, SO3and Sr, 2 standard values for TFe2O3, 1 standard value for CaF2, as well as the standard or reference values for Cu, Pb, Zn and watersoluble salt. These seven standard reference barite ores were approved as the national primary reference materials (serial number is GBW 07811~GBW 07817) by General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of China in April 2009.
