Extraction and Integration of Geochemical Prospecting Information in Large-scale Exploration and Metallogenic Prediction: Example from the Chagandeersi Large Mo Deposit in Urad Houqi, Inner Mongolia

  • Based on the comprehensive study of metallogenic geological conditions, 1:25000 soil geochemistry characteristic of drainage system has been analyzed, the geological and geochemical prospecting information has been extracted and integrated, the main ore-forming elements have been identified, and the favorable location of ore prospecting has been delineated in this paper. Then, the Chagandeersi large concealed molybdenum deposit has been discovered by the exploratory drilling in Urad Houqi, Inner Mongolia. The application of geochemical prospecting information in metallogenic prognosis has been discussed emphatically, providing a reference for prospecting the concealed ore deposits.
