Survey and Research of Selenium Content in Soil and Crops in Sanyuan-Yanliang

  • Taking soil in Shanyuan-Yanliang as a research object, studing on selenium, pH value and organic matter content and distribution of local soil, and the main forms of selenium. The results show: There are plenty of selenium-rich soil; The soil is in favor of plant absorbing selenium in soil which is alkaline or strongly alkaline; Abundant organic matter is in favor of selenium enrichment in soil, Selenium exists mainly as organic combination state which can provide abundant soluble organic and inorganic selenium for plant absorbing. Through surveying the main crops in investigation area. The results show: Se-enriched food standard-reaching rate of rape, wheat, garlic, white radish and corn are more than 55%. The average of selenium enrichment coefficient of nine crops are follows: rape >wheat >garlic >corn >white radish >Chinese cabbage >cabbage >celery >cauliflower. Most crops are up to food hygienic standard. Therefore, the survey area has unique advantages to developing "natural, green and safety" se-enriched crops.
