Geological Characteristics, Metallogenic Model and Prospecting of XiajiadianGold-vanadium Deposit in Shanyang County, Shaanxi Province

  • Xiajiadian gold deposit is located in a special complex intersection between Shanyang-Fengzhen fault and Zhen'an-Banyanzhen fault. The ore-bearing rocks are thin interbed barite-carbonaceous-argillaceous-siliceous slate, argillaceous rock and siliceous rock of Cambrian Shuigoukou formation. The ore-bearing tectonic is brittle-ductile fault related to the black rock series. Based on years of exploration, the quantity of gold and vanadium resources both reach a medium scale. Ore types can be divided into: slate-breccia type, siliceous breccia type, dolomitic breccia type and combined breccia types. In this paper, we introduce in details the geological and mineralization characteristics of the main ore bodies. Based on summarizing the characteristics of deposit geology, geochemistry, fluid inclusion and isotope, the metallogenic model and prospecting marks are established in further. Sulinggou and the reversal anticline slot part of Ⅶ mineralized belt are the key sections for exploration work in the future.
