Abstract
The South Yellow Sea Basin, tectonically situated on the east of the Lower Yangtze Para-platform, is an important Meso-Cenozoic continental petroliferous basin in East China. There have always existed disputes about the formation mechanism of the South Yellow Sea Basin, In this paper, the origin and genetic mechanism of the South Yellow Sea Basin are discussed.The South Yellow Sea Basin is in the central location of Asian、circle Pacific and Tethys structural domains, the forming process has been influenced by many factors, different factors play a major role in different phases.-
