BUILDING OF NEAR SURFACE VELOCITY MODEL USING TOMOGRAPHY INVERSION METHOD

  • Because of the tough surface condition and the variable near-surface velocity,the inversion of the near-surface velocity model has become a great difficult problem. The method of tomography provides an effective tool for the inversion of the near-surface velocity model. It can simulate horizontal and vertical variable velocity medium and make use of various first arrival traveltimes at the same time. In this paper we first introduced the algorithm of raytracing tomography. Then, we finished the inversion of the near-surface velocity model of seismic exploration area using this method. The final inversion result was satisfactory.
