Abstract

Abstract

This paper has given a general review of the current status and research results of the ophiolite and chromite deposits in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Distribution features of ophiolite within this region are also concluded. Age, geochemical characteristics, and genesis environment are also briefly dicussed. Based on statistic of chromite deposits in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, some typical exploration achievement has been reviewed. Lastly there is a forecast of chromite resource prospecting in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
