Abstract
Through field geological investigations and measurements of cross sections, the authors have made a detailed study and division of the Neogene strata in the Baode-Jingle area, Shanxi, and obtained electron spin resonance (ESR) and paleomagnetic dating data. According to these data, combined with the biostratigraphic division, the sequence of the Neogene strata of the study area is defined in descending order as follows: the Pliocene Jingle Formation, upper Miocene Baode Formation and lower Miocene Luzigou Formation.-
