Abstract
In the light of the light and heavy mineral assemblages and grain size data of the sandstones from about 220 wells in the Huaqing region,Ordos Basin,in combination with sedimentary facies analysis and comparison of terrigenous clastic and heavy mineral compositions,the principal sources of detritus in the Chang-6 oil measures lay to the north and northeast of the Basin.The parent rocks in the source areas are mainly composed of low-to medium-grade metamorphic rocks and granites.-
