Abstract

The National Stratigraphical Database has been developed bY the Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources of China. The main objective of the database is to manage the information about various stratigraphical unit in whole China so as to carry out the research on stratigraphi-cal multiple division and correlation. The authors introduce the main characteristics and func-tions of the database system.
