Abstract

Petrological data can be very useful in many geostatistieal analysis. Detailed geological field work and laboratory analysis has been carried out to get a clear picture of the structure,stratig-raphy and sedimentation of the Jaintiapur area,Sylhet district Jaipurhat limestone area,Jaipurhat district. The chemical analysis of the Sylhet limestone of Sylhet and Jaipurhat area were per-formed and mineralogical analysis of the Tipam Sandstone was also done. The data obtained can be used for SEDBA application. The parameters for SEDBA must be accurate and of sedimentary origin.
