THE MATALLOGENIC STAGES OF SOME ENDOGENIC METAL DEPOSITS IN GUANGXI

  • From the tectonic and metallogenic points of view, five metallogenic stages may be distinguished for some endogenic metla deposits in Guangdong and their respective temporal-spatial distribution and metallogenic features are discussed preliminarily. The Yanshanian stage was a peak stage of mineralization, and the deposits formed duing the stage are numerous in type, large in scale and widespread. Next come the Xuefengian and Caledonian metallogenic stages: the deposits formed in this stage are mainly distributed in northern and eastern Guangxi and dominated by tin, copper and gold deposits. Mineralizations in the Hercynian and Himalayan metallogenic stages ware generally weak.
