The Prediction and Assessment of Important Mineral Resources in China
-
Abstract
The ore deposit modeling-synthetic geological information method was used in national important mineral potential assessment, which is supported by metallogenic series theory, mineralization kinetics theory and synthetic information mineral prediction theory and used both domestic and abroad experience on mineral prediction for reference. Taking the prediction type as the key link, the authors built the prediction model based on creating the tectonic and formation map. 25 types of mineral resources to the depth of 2 km were assessed with the ore-forming geological body parameter method based on mineralization assessment system(MRAS), which are Fe, Al, Cu, Pb, Zn, Au, Sb, W, Mn, Sn, Mo, Ni, Ag, REE, Cr, Magnesite, Li ,B, S, Fluorite, K, Barite and P. On such a basis, level 3 perspective areas in China were delineated. The mineralization potential was assessed scientifically, which provides technical support for both the government and the exploration organizations.
