Evaluation Method for Safe Development and Utilization of Underground Space Based on Geological Body Unit Dissection: Take Jiangdong New District, Haikou as an Example

  • In order to improve the stereoscopic development and utilization capacity of urban underground space, the innovative evaluation method of safe development and utilization of urban underground space is explored with geological body unit as the core concept and 3D geological structure modeling as the technical means. Taking Jiangdong New District, Haikou as an example, the 3D geological structure model of surface and underground integration is constructed by using Creatar Xmodeling, a self-developed 3D geological modeling system. Through dividing it into 100 m×100 m×1 m geological body units, the safe development and utilization of underground space below 100 m is evaluated by the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and multi-objective weighting function (MWF). The results show that the main development difficulty level of the underground space in Jiangdong New District, Haikou is small. The volumes of very small, small, large, very large development difficulty level are respectively 36.48 million m3, 1413.46 million m3, 8454.89 million m3, and 13396.27 million m3. The evaluation method based on the division of geological bodies can effectively estimate the potential of urban underground space resource development and utilization, expressthe results more intuitively and stereoscopically, and improve the accuracy and dimension of undergroundspace evaluation, which is of great significance to the stereoscopic development and utilization of urban underground space and the promotion of sustainable urban development.
