Modynamic Analysis of Direct Reduction of High Ferric Bauxite

  • Due to its own characteristics of high ferric bauxite,the separation of iron and aluminum becomes rather difficult.Many works have shown that the" direct reduction-magnetic separation" process can effectively separate iron and aluminum,the key problem of which is improving the metallization rate and grain size of iron.In this paper,the thermodynamic analysis of reactions during the direct reduction of high ferric bauxite was carried out,making it clear that iron bearing minerals which is difficultly reduced could be formed during the reduction process,and the measures,which is beneficial to improvement of the metallization rate and grain size of iron,was proposed according to the reduction characteristics of high ferric bauxite.
