STRATIGRAPHIC GEOLOGIC ATTRIBUTE AND HYDROCARBON GEOLOGY IN LAOSHAN UPLIFT OF SOUTH YELLOW SEA

  • In recent years, the first effective seismic reflection received in Laoshan uplift of middle South Yellow Sea brought the hydrocarbon exploration potentials into focus.Seismic stratigraphy method has been used to interpret the seismic profiles re-acquired and re-processed these years, and according to the regional geological comparison with Yangtze plate, we established the framework of seismic sequence of Laoshan uplift, calibrated the stratum geologic attribute, and analyzed stratum distribution law and hydrocarbon geologic features in Laoshan uplift.The study results suggested that the lower marine structural layer in Laoshan uplift has a steady distribution as well as a huge residual thickness,abundant hydrocarbon sources and good preservation conditions. Therefore,Laoshan uplift has hydrocarbon geologic conditions of major hydrocarbon reservoirs, and should be the potential target for future hydrocarbon exploration.
