Analysison on Prospecting Effect of Geochemical Secondary Halo in Shuiquangou Area of Inner Mongolia

  • 1:10 000 secondary halo geochemical survey was conducted at the initial stage of ore prospecting in Shuiquangou area. Through analysis, screening, field inspection and evaluation of the anomalies in this area, 4 comprehensive anomalies were identified.To further understand the genesis of the comprehensive anomaly, large scale (1:2000) secondary halo and comprehensive geological profile survey were carried out in the key abnormal sections delineated in the mining areas, making it clear the the prospecting direction and the prospecting target for the next step, providing basic geochemical data for the future geological prospecting work.Surface verification of the anomalies was done using trenching in the preferred target area. Drilling engineering exposed the deep orebody, expanding the scale of the orebody. Up to now, a number of industrial orebodies have been discovered, increasing the reserves of resources.The geochemical secondary halo prospecting method is proved to be effective in this area.
