The Practice and Understanding of the Shale Oil Reservoir in ZJ Exploration Area of Subei Basin

  • Subei basin is short of Conventional oil and gas resources, whereas in terms of unconventional resources, the exploration is still in a low level. Based on the data of seismic, rock-electro and well testing, this article, using the means of physical chemical analysis and well seismic multidimensional interpretation,found out that there are abundant and monolithic shale oil resources in source rock in the 2nd member of Funing Formation and the 2nd member of Taizhou Formation in North Jiangsu exploration area. an evaluation system of geology-engineering integration was formed to comprehensively evaluate the quality of the source rock, the reservoir and the engineering using the “rock-electro-seismic”method to recognize diabase and its spatial distribution. Three types of reservoirs are classified. 4 wells /7 layers achieve high oil flow. The favorable area is about 70 km2 and the amount of resources is over billion tons. It is of great significance for the exploration of unconventional resources in Zhejiang oil field and the whole southern area of China.
