Metallogenic Geological Features and Prospective Study for Sandstone-Type Uranium Deposit in Bel-Ulson Depression

  • Bel-Ulson depression is located in Hailar basin. two rounds of uranium deposit assessments here have found some abnormal drill holes of uranium mineralization. An analysis of the existing data indicats that the depression has an abundance of uranium sources, favorable sedimentary facies belts and ore-bearing sand bodies, stable mudstone aquiclude at the top and the bottom, and meanwhile the structural slopes in the south of the study area provide conditions for the epigenetic oxidation. Deep fluids through structural channels reduce the layer of the Yimin Formation, providing suitable environment for uranium mineralization. In general, Bel-Ulson depression has favorable conditions and potential for uranium mineralization.
