Study on Process Mineralogy of Zhenkang Copper Oxide Ore in Yunnan Province

Abstract

Abstract

Taking Zhenkang copper oxide ore in Yunnan Province as research object,the process mineralogy was investigated by using optical microscopy,chemical analysis,and electron microprobe.It was found that the ore was a skarn copper oxide ore with Cu grade of 1.00%.The independent copper minerals in the ore were mainly malachite and chrysocolla;the main gangue minerals were tremolite,garnet,and stilpnomelane with small quantities of calcite.In addition,the ore also contained small amounts of magnetite,which could be comprehensively utilized.These results provided a basis for ore beneficiation.
