Investigation and Evaluation of Comprehensive Utilization Level of Phosphate Ore Resources in China

Abstract
The investigation and evaluation of the development and utilization level of 359 phosphate mines in China are presented in this paper.The distribution characteristics and industrial types of phosphate rock resources are introduced,and the indicators of "three rates"(mining recovery,mineral processing recovery,comprehensive recovery) as well as the influence factors are analyzed.The results show that the phosphate rock resources in China are mainly distributed in the southern region,and the ore types are mainly composed of siliceous calcium (magnesia) phosphorous rock ore,siliceous phosphate rock,apatite (rock) ore.The annual ore production is 62.0401 million t.Though the number small scale phosphate mines accounting for 58.33%,the major output is achieved in large and middle scale phosphate mines with a portion of 77.59%.The recovery rate,mineral processing recovery rate and comprehensive utilization rate of phosphate rock resources in China are 82.70%,89.97% and 77.79%,respectively.The utilization rate of tailings and waste rock are 16.77% and 1.22%,respectively.
