  • Situated in China's Three Gorges Reservoir Region, the Fengjie County is prone to frequent geo-hazards. This area features big topographic relief, well-developed structures and soft rocks, and relatively fragile geological environment. This paper employs field geological surveys to ascertain the distribution regularities of geo-hazards and geo-hazard breeding geological setting in the studied area. The dataset of geo-hazards in Fengjie Mapsheet (1:50, 000), which has integrated the data in geo-hazard, geology and geography, has been constructed for the first time, along with the compilation of the same-scaled geo-hazard maps of Fengjie County Mapsheet. This paper has also classified the data sources, data collecting methods, and processing techniques, so as to provide practical application case of the geo-hazard maps dataset, and meanwhile present references for the data processing and application in this type of geological survey.
